Drago’s aggressive overlapping gathering chains are positioned farther out front to grab and secure stalks for processing.

LARGEST AUGER FOR LESS BACKFEED

With its 20-inch diameter, the Drago GT has the largest auger in the industry for more aggressive in-feeding. Its larger center tube is stronger and blocks the window of escape from the feeder house.  

SELF-ADJUSTING DECK PLATES

Drago corn heads feature deck plates that independently and automatically self-adjust to stalks entering each row unit minimizing gaps and reducing kernel and small ear loss. University research demonstrates you can lose one to four bu/acre for every 1/8-inch of deck plate misadjustment.  

• Antiquated operator-controlled hydraulic deck plate technology is hopelessly incapable of adjusting to stalk variability and limiting yield loss. 

• Because hydraulic deck plates adjust every row to the same gap, the wider the corn head, the greater the potential for kernel loss

GEARBOXES

No other gearbox is built to perform or last like a Drago gearbox.  

• The Drago bull gear itself is more robust – a solid, high quality steel gear instead of the Case IH with three separate gears that must be shimmed together by the customer.  

• Drago’s spiral-cut gears are an industry-first. By design, they always have two teeth engaged to transmit power more efficiently and increase gear life.   

Drago introduced a multi-component slip-clutch design, called Precise Clutch Technology™, with four different load operations rather than a single-clutch-for-the-highest-load design.  

Drago component protection means the fence post that stops the knife rollers doesn’t have to ruin the gathering chains, drives and chopping gearbox, too.
