LOWEST HEADER PROFILE
Drago corn heads feature a working angle of just 17–23 degrees — the flattest in the industry. The lower working angle allows Drago corn heads to slip under stalks and catch dropping ears with less bounce loss out the front. An aggressive snout tip is available for getting under severe down corn.
AGGRESSIVE OVERLAPPING GATHERING CHAINS
Gathering chains run on large idler sprockets that are forward-placed, in front of knife rollers, where overlapping chain fingers can grab, pull up and pull in stalks — a vital feature for picking up corn in less-than perfect conditions.
SPRING-LOADED SNOUT PRESSURE
To help ensure your snouts stay under down corn, Drago has designed this feature that allows you to apply and adjust down-pressure to your snouts – keeping them where they belong.
OPTIONAL DOWNED-CORN AUGERS
Available for rigid or folding heads, downed-corn augers help center stalks over knife rollers and limit loss of ears hanging over header sides. They’re available in either long or short options.
CONTROLLED CHOPPING
Look carefully at the placement of choppers on a Drago compared to other brands. Drago chopping blades are set back so they don’t strike stalks until knife rollers have a grip. This design prevents blades from striking stalks prematurely and either losing stalks that may fall away from the header or jarring off ears before they land in the row unit.
PRECISE CLUTCH TECHNOLOGY*
Running low to the ground means your header may pick up more than corn. And that’s when you’ll love that the GT has separate clutches for gathering chains, knife rollers and chopper gearboxes – each with their own precise setting to keep you running.
*Available only on the Drago GT.
BUILT-IN DURABILITY
Drago engineers know you’re going to get that header as low to the ground as possible. Sometimes too low. That’s when you’ll appreciate knife-rollers that are supported up front with nose cones featuring double-bearings, grease bank and milled-in dirt barrier to protect seals.
