Introducing Drago GT+: Your Front-Row Seat to a Better Harvest
With every component engineered for yield capture and harvest efficiency, Drago GT+ offers growers greater ROI.
Automatic Self-Adjusting Deck Plates revolutionized yield capture. Longer knife rollers and ear shocks took harvest even further. Chainless drives and spiral-cut gears redefined dependability. The Drago GT+ builds on all these features — and then some.
GT+ Features
The Automatic Self-Adjusting Deck Plates and QuadSuspension™ deck plate shocks on every Drago GT+ corn head remove human error and stalk variance from the equation for maximum ROI. From its stalk-grabbing gathering chains to the efficient movement of corn along its massive auger, the Drago GT+ offers a holistic approach to capturing more yield. The heart of this system lies at the point of stalk entry, where Olimac revolutionized harvest Kernel Capture Technology™ with Automatic Self-Adjusting Deck Plates and QuadSuspension™ ear shocks. Year after year, Drago performance is field proven and data confirmed.
University research revealed that a gap as small as 1/8 inch between stalks and deck plates could translate to a yield loss of up to four bushels per acre.* Considering that today’s higher-yielding corn has greater stalk variability — up to ½ inch from row to row in Drago research — yield loss is inevitable.
Drago’s Automatic Self-Adjusting Deck Plates adapt to ever-changing stalk widths within every row unit to limit the loss of kernels and small ears that would otherwise slip through. While some main-line corn head companies are attempting to catch up with their own versions of automatic deck plate technology, Drago eliminates electrical and hydraulic points of failure through a purely mechanical process.
There’s no guessing or subscription required — just field-proven innovation for harvesting today’s hybrids. Reap the benefits of superior engineering in your own acres.

The exceptional speed at which knife rollers work to pull down stalks creates a violent ear-to-plate impact that can cause yield loss through ear bounce and butt-shelling. The GT+ mitigates this loss with QuadSuspension™ — integrated “ear shocks” under deck plates that absorb ear impact and significantly reduce kernel loss. QuadSuspension™ on the GT+ has been upgraded with the addition of an impact-dampener ring to improve performance and reliability.
At 22.5-inches, Drago knife rollers are longer than those on many other corn head brands and are engineered to run slower to reduce the impact of ears on deck plates and allow more time for stalk processing — without reducing your ground speed.
Drago not only supports its knife rollers up front but features two bearings built into the nose cone itself. A dirt barrier is milled-in to seal and protect bearings when tips are closer to the soil, such as in down-corn situations.
Drago bracket-supports keep knife rollers from spreading to prevent damage to bearings and the drive system.
We build our knife rollers longer, so our smaller-diameter knife rollers can run slower. A slower speed helps reduce loss from ear bounce and butt-shelling. The knife-to-knife design pinches, pulls, and opens — allowing plants to move farther back into the corn head before the ear is removed.
With a smoother, curved design for better product flow, poly improvements on the Drago GT+ improve material flow into the auger. Smart mold technology enables corn to flow to the back of the bonnet, improving overall harvest efficiency.
Poly bonnet height on the GT+ descends over the row unit from front to back, with a rear pan shape for enhanced crop flow to the auger. The taper provides better feeding while minimizing the potential for trash buildup, and the kernel barrier comes further back into the row.
Designed to prevent shelled corn from slipping through gaps, the kernel barrier is angled to direct grain backward rather than allowing it to drop straight down. This extended design maximizes grain retention and significantly reduces harvest loss.
The ear sweeps also improve crop flow into the auger and helps to prevent loss. This helps keep material away from the chain, limiting the chance for material to drag back under the head.
Reflector strips have been updated to a metal design to provide greater durability in the field and resist cracking. These strips ensure clear visibility of the snout points and row alignment during night-time harvesting, helping operators maintain accurate header positioning across the rows.
When you build a corn head for harvest efficiency, you understand the value of harvest reliability, too. That’s why every GT+ part and gear are cut and milled within the most advanced and automated plant of its kind. When you consider Olimac’s commitment to robotically laser-apply tungsten to its knives so they perform better and longer, you can imagine how the rest of the GT+ is built.
Olimac’s investment in spiral-cut gears in the GT+ corn head parallels the aviation and auto industry’s need for higher-performing and reliable power transmission. Spiral gears always have two teeth engaged vs. straight gears which have only one. This enables the most efficient transfer of power 90 degrees adding tremendous life to the gears.
Olimac is the first corn head brand to integrate dedicated radial slip clutches for each of three major components within each row unit, including gathering chain drives, knife rollers and chopper gearboxes. Other corn head brands use a “one-clutch-fits-all” approach, with one clutch set for the highest load and leaving other components unprotected. GT+ radial slip clutches are completely sealed from external elements, bathed in oil and deliver significantly better protection.
Endura Drive is the first chainless design available in all corn head sizes. Gears transfer more power from the combine to the row unit with drive line shock absorption — a simple, durable and improved transfer of power for enhanced efficiency.
As part of the Endura Drive™ system, the Drago GT+ gear-driven auger drive is sealed and bathed in oil to minimize maintenance and keep it clean and free of debris. The chainless drive is available for every row configuration. Auger drive components are strengthened to match increased capacity.
The Endura Drive™ design allows power to be driven inline through the row units for higher efficiency, eliminating two gears per row vs. the competition. Strengthened row-to-row drive shafts are connected with removable self-engaging couplers to simplify repairs on individual row units.
A built-in flex coupler has been added to the drive line, absorbing torque at start-up and keeping the shafts running true.
Available for all combine makes and models.

Folding GT+ corn heads feature an upgraded folding bonnet for worry-free operation. Available on 8-row models and wider, the folding option saves time and simplifies transportation at harvest. The folding process is fast, safe and easy. Just hit the switch and watch it fold. Drago’s exclusive technology automatically self-times the cross augers and tow shafts. Unlike competitor corn heads, the folding bonnet and drive couplers mechanically self-align and self-center to ensure precise, synchronized folding every time.
The Drago GT+ corn head is available in one of three poly color options that match or complement the colors of popular combine brands. The GT+ poly comes standard in black, a neutral color fit for any combine, which can help improve resale value when it’s time to upgrade. It is also available to order in green or red.
Ideal for irrigated areas to protect snouts from pivot tracks.
Reduce ear loss in tall corn. Enhanced feeding in lodged or leaning corn.
For rigid heads only, the long down-corn auger keeps downed corn from leaning over the side and losing hanging ears, centering the stalks back over the rollers.
The non-chop option leaves stalks intact on the field to hold soil and moisture, ideal for no-till, cover crops, and erosion-prone ground. Roller knives crumple each stalk and create pinch points every inch along its length, so breakdown starts naturally on your schedule.
The single chop option delivers standard residue sizing with an on-off lever for field-to-field flexibility. A straight-power gearbox — no bevel gears — cuts horsepower needs.
The industry-first Twin Chop uses counter-rotating knives to cut and shatter stalks for faster, more complete residue breakdown. It shares the single chop’s efficient gearbox design for reduced horsepower demand.
Unlike other corn heads, GT+ chopper blades do not strike plants until after they are in the firm grip of roller knives, avoiding premature ear drop and loss. This design feature is particularly valued in lodged and down corn.
Drago roller and chopper knives feature high-grade steel with laser-applied tungsten that is thicker, more evenly applied, and performs significantly longer than the adhesive-applied tungsten of our competition.
Drago offers an industry-first rock guard for all row unit configurations. It helps protect chopper blades from contact with rocks and can be easily removed if necessary.
Chopper curtains on the GT+ have been extended to improve the flow of chopped material.
Optional dividers between rows under the head reduce potential windrowing that can occur on chopping heads.
Drago stands behind our commitment to durability, with parts, resources and a dealer network set up to help you minimize downtime and maximize performance. All GT+ corn heads are covered by a two-year parts and labor warranty — plus much more.

More Customer Reviews“The lack of grain loss with the GT+ is definitely a huge plus. Hard to quantify exactly what it is, but it’s one to two bushels for sure, which is $15,000 to $20,000 a year.”
